NaBloPoMo day 22: Time for a poem

Too fast, too slow

Not enough, too much

Time flies, time lingers on

They say, “Time heals.”

How much time do I need?

When will I stop feeling this aching inside?

What is going to fill this this void left behind?

Where am I going to find the strength?

Why can’t I just fast forward or rewind?

Time, it has its own way.

  1. Hey there, I found you via the NaBloPoMo blogroll.

As part of NaBloPoMo I try to comment on as many participating blogs as I can, and I am also adding participating blogs to my feed reader. So I’m just dropping by to let you know I’ve added your blog to my feedreader, whenever you publish a post I will see it. 🙂

I have created three bundles on Inoreader so that bloggers can easily visit other participating NaBloPoMo bloggers which you can find here –

Your blog is in the second bundle.. I also have a link up going at my place so my readers can find participating blogs which you are more than welcome to add your blog link to.

Looking forward to seeing your posts. You may see me drop by again during November, but it might be December before I finish my first drop by to blogs if I don’t get faster at leaving comments. 🙂

    Happy NaBloPoMo to you!

  2. Awww this is so lovely and it fits just how I’m feeling right now. It wasn’t a good weekend. I just want the emptiness and pain to go away already so that the moving on process can start 😦 Thank you for sharing!

    1. Thank you for sharing, too. Sorry to hear that you had a lousy weekend…so did I :(. Hope your breakup buddies have been supportive :). Although they say time heals, I think we all need different amounts. At least, you have let go…..I don’t know if I’ve done that yet. I still think what if…..

  3. Hope the new week will be a better one! My breakup buddies are hanging in there although they are pretty mad at him because of our horrible fight last Friday. I’m going to have to keep quiet for a while in case they explode soon 😛 I agree with you about needing time.

Sometimes, we may think that we’ve let go but there are those random moments where you find yourself doubling over and crying, realizing that you actually haven’t. That happened yesterday 😦

Hopefully those thoughts will start going away slowly. It’s really painful, isn’t? When we have to face the memories and the love that used to be there? 😦

    1. Thanks for taking the time to comment :). I hope your week is better, too. I’m only on day 8, so I’ve still got a lot of processing to do. Like you, I have my moments of grief, and they usually catch me when I’m out in public….embarrassing :(. I hope time is a healer for you, and that soon we’ll be able to have the good memories without the tears.

  4. Waterproof makeup! It’s a necessity! We can do this. It’s a very personal and painful process but knowing that there is at least one more person out there who is not only going through the same thing but also knows just how painful it is without you having to explain the pain is a blessing. Ok that is a very long sentence hahaha! But yes, hopefully peace and acceptance will come soon. 🙂

    1. Haha…sometimes I like the new look…little gothic?! Today I had a bit of a breakthrough, so I’m hoping my spontaneous tears will soon disappear. Wishing you some dry days ahead, too 🙂
